Lake Hazel Middle School Reviews

Have my 3rd child in this school and, in comparison with the time my first son had entered this school, the school, thanks to their teachers deducation, is gettin better all-the-time !

There are some bumpey spots in the school, but it has great teachers and staff! If I were to pick the best middle school around it would probably be this one.

in my opinion this school has the worst teachers excluding two teachers. Mr. custener and Miss. Lake.

Lake Hazel Middle School is a school that needs help although the extra curricular activities may be excellent the academic portion of this school lacks resources and fundamentals. Although lake Hazel has ordinary Drills such as fire and lockdown. I do not see it as a safe and well guarded place for my child to go to. The teacher staff is great but the the units that they are teaching do not have fundamentals to relate to the topic. The children are treated like they have no purpose and the teachers do not go to any extent to go beyond the subject and explore there teachings.. I believe that every child should have the chance to learn and self explore. without individual books for each child they can not have that opportunity. The sharing locker situation also bothers me. kids needs there own space to put there own stuff.

This school is not given enough credit. Most people just think of it as ghetto when it is really a great school. The sports opportunities are awesome and the punishment for students is fair. LHMS also has some of the highest ISAT scores in the district. This school also has the highest number of student population while it also has the smallest campus. The Gifted and Talented workshops are very opportunistic as well as the Special Education areas. Lake Hazel is Truly a good school even though most people make fun of its bad looks and amount of money. This is the best school!

I feel the teachers do not take time to help the students that are struggling to learn. I do not feel there is very good communication from the VP with the parents when there are problems at the school. I am not at all happy with this school!

Many of the teachers are not nuturing at all. They tend to treat every child as a deliquent and are not flexible and attentive to individual children. Perhaps they are trying to maintain respect and control by intimidation, but for the students who like learning and want a relationship with their teachers, this has a big negative impact. I have heard of very few parents who have had an encounter with the 8th grade pricipal who were satisfied.

The academic programs are the very best that I have ever had! Extracurricular activities are great, this school, of the whole district, comes within first or second in everything! Art and music is very oppurtunistic! I love this school better than any other school (of nine!) that my child has been to.

This school has the best extracurricular activities of all Meridian schools! It also has great teachers that are very involved and dedicated to their education and work very hard to ensure that every student has the best learning experience possible.

I think this is a wonderful school. I have had so much support from the staff.

I love this school! Especcialy David Abela, I miss him! And I miss Johanna Lim and Meagan Frisch and Nicole Kopzyski!
