I'm 28, about to turn 29 in mid-October, here in Boise. I am really into music cars and cooking. I'm a bit eccentric to say the least. I have a wide range in a lot of different areas. I am a recent gradute from the university of idaho. I just got a job in Boise and have recently moved back here from Moscow. I really like having my friends around me, but I am more of a one on one kind of guy. I am an open book when it comes to people. Anything anyone wants to know they can ask me and I will answer them. Sometimes that gets me in trouble, but what is life without a little trouble. I really enjoy music and watching movies. I am a romantic at heart and really do enjoy making my woman feel special. A couple of friends took me snowboarding Feb 2007, and I am HOOKED!!!!!! It is the GREATEST! I enjoyed winters growning up, but now... I LOVE winter! The only problem so far is that my stupid sore muscles remind me of how much I need to find a physical summer activity.

Basics...
1) I'm a good humored (OK, Smart Ass) person who trys to enjoy each moment life throws at me. I like to keep people on their toes, and guessing what will happen next. Their only defense is that I am shy, that is until I get to know them, or on a rare occasion (any more) I have had lots to drink.

2) I don't let the small stuff get to me. Life, as short as it is, is too long to fret the stuff we can't change. I don't think of myself as a "take lemons make lemonade" type of person, but come on... lighten up and enjoy what you do have.

3) Oh, and Tall, dark, and handsome come to mind, but you know the saying....

Once I get to know people, I do open up a LOT more. I am trying to work on the shyness, but 30+ years of habit is hard to overcome. If you do get to know me, or get me to drink a bit, then my sense of humor and good naturedness comes out full force.

Since I have been through a divorce, my already kind of high standards have become pretty hard set. Now that does not mean I have unrealistic expectations.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I have figured out what I am looking for in a woman, and at this point in my life will make few if any compromises in what I will give up in those expectations. I realise this will narrow my "selection" (boy that just sounds wrong), but I'm OK with that.
For example, I do NOT want a woman who is "High Maintenance". In the past I have put up w/ that and tried to accomodate, but in the long run we both were not happy. So now once I know a woman is "high maintenance" I break it off right there.
I want a woman who, in my opinion, is good looking. Not a run way model (HELL NO!!!), but something more like "the girl next door" look.
I do not want a real heavyset woman. I do profer some meat on her bones, allthough that is not required. A "Big Boned", or "curvy" woman is fine. I guess I'm just saying I'm a little shallow, like most others, and have a hard time getting past this one.

Oh that reminds me.... I can be, and usually am, brutally honest. Sometimes because I do not want to sugar coat things, but at other times because I forget to put a nice twist on things. I do know how to "play nice in the sandbox", but most of the time I figure why bother.

Kind of an example, if you cook a meal, I will be the 1st to let you know if I like the meal or not, but I will also let you know what I think could maybe improve it. To go with that if I cook a meal I ask for, and expect, the same.

I'm a passionate guy that appreciates the Arts and MANY different kinds of music.....basically ALL the beauty in the abstract sides of life.

but, I'm very down to earth as well and pragmatic.

The best way I can describe myself is most of the time I have one foot firmly on the ground, with the other lightly in the clouds, haha. If I'm close to doing the splits, I'll end up over indulging either one or the other for the moment. I can be balanced though.

I've been known to be very knowledgeable within different areas in life, from the fun to the philosophical (including Astrology). I dabble in many things, maybe that's why I'm good with different types of people.

Hi. I have lived in Idaho for most of my life. I grew up in Payette and have been living in Boise on and off for the past 10 years or so.

I work, live, and go to college in Boise. I work very hard and love the out doors. Iam honest to a fault . I'm basically just some guy. I'm enrolled in the Computer Science course at Stevens-Henager College (where the only requirement is a functioning frontal lobe) and I'm studying computer programming. I used to be an aspiring artist, but for lack of personal growth I gave up on that. I love long walks in the rain and I enjoy reading MLIA and playing MMORPGs in my spare time. I also swear a fucking lot, but I held back for the duration of my profile page. I'm also a college football nut. Go BSU! I'm not sure what else to put here, but I can just update it later. Hi, I'm Leslie Johnson. I'm 23 and livin it up in Boise. I love to draw and paint, though it doesn't turn out well sometimes, I still try! I love taking my bichon frise, Flyer, to the park and just relaxing. I've been known to go out on the weekends with my girls and get a bit wild! I just want to find someone I can have a good time with but still share the the quiet moments.

Also, I enjoy hiking around the Boise area. The landscape here is beautiful, sometimes I just set up a tent and stay the night outdoors.

I am skeptical, happy, trusting, excited, scared, humble, handsome, playful, uncomfortable, glad, frustrated, gracious, sad, motivated, confident, insecure, funny, relaxed, logical, introverted and very cool. If I see a homeless person holding a sign asking for spare change or whatever... I almost always give them what I can.

I say introverted because I work from home, and as a result I'm use to lots of alone time. That's not to say I'm anti-social. I like to go out with friends for drinks or whatever and can socialize just as well as the next guy. But when it comes to partying, I did enough of that in my teens and early twenties to last a lifetime!!! And if given the choice, I'd probably rather stay home and watch the discovery channel, go photograph a dark alley... or cook you dinner with a good bottle of wine :)

I live in North Boise and have a film studio about a half mile down the street from my home where I work on lots of independent film and photography projects.

I also read just about anything I can get my hands on. Lately I've had an odd obsession with reading as much about physics as I possibly can... I don't know why but it's fascinating stuff. :)

When I think of my childhood I think of wine. I know that sounds strange but my parents started a winery in 1976 called Ste. Chapelle, then 2 or 3 more in the 80's. I spent a lot of time playing and building forts around them... and running through vineyards.

That might lead you to believe that I know something about wine... I've watched grapes being crushed, wine being bottled and labels being attached a thousand times... but still have no idea how it's made. ~~~~ What I do know is that by the time I was 7 or 8, I could go head to head with anyone on how to properly taste wine (yes, there's a "proper" way of doing it :))... and could easily tell the difference between what's considered good and what's considered bad wine. ~~~~ So with that being said... I have no problem at all drinking boxed wine out of a styrofoam cup... if that's your thing!

On the subject of what I'm looking for... first, let me just say that I'm not looking to "hook-up"... I'm looking for something more serious, an undeniable connection, long term kind of thing with someone I absolutely adore. And when I meet her, I'll probably know it within a few minutes.

And for the record... I make awesome crepes.

Hi! I'm a nice girl who is looking for more friends in Boise! Maybe you will be one of them! I enjoy being outside, and my main outdoor activity is hiking. I have traveled around a bit, and I appreciate different landscapes. There is just so much beauty in nature! I like to cook and to try new foods. I got my B.A. in Art History and Archaeology (dual degree) a few years ago, and now I am exploring some other intellectual interests on my own, and really trying to take my time and enjoy it! Among these interests are evolution, linguistics, and psychology. I'm not much of a dancer, but I tried contra dancing the other week, and I really like it! For the most part, I tend to be willing to try new things. So I'm really into the Buddhist thing--I enjoy meditating and being mindful in general! I've only been diligent about it for a couple of years, and already I am transformed, and I know there is a lot more to come! I really like yoga, too! I like doing silly things like dying my hair and wearing mismatched socks just to make people smile. I appreciate people who are kind and giving, and strive to emulate them. I get a kick out of smiling at strangers and having them smile back or say hi. I believe happiness comes from within, and I am working to apply that to more aspects of my life. Not easy to do, but not difficult either, and very worth it! I love animals, and I have a kitty named Luna! I really like growing plants too! Hello, my name is Heather and I am 20 years old. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. My family and friends are a very important aspect in my life and, without them, I think I would be lost! I've lived in many different places in my life, including Idaho, California, South Dakota, and Louisiana. I was pretty much raised in a small town in Idaho though so I call that home. Hey my name is Glen I've been though my share of good and bad times. I was born hard of hearing, aside from the fact I have to wear hearing aids most of the time I'm cool with it. I feel it brings me huge amounts of peace and harmony when I don't have the aids in, plus the deaf card gets me out of whole lot of shit. I'm not much of a conversationists since most of my conversations are hard to hear, but I know how to have a good time and enjoy myself as well as others.
