Known as, “The City of Trees” Boise, Idaho is the largest metropolitan community in the state. Many Fortune 500 Companies have based themselves out of Boise. But Boise, Idaho has much more to offer beside it business facilities. The beautiful Boise River, which flows through the heart of the city, provides an excellent tourist attraction offering more than just its beauty. Boise also boasts one-of-a-kind museums, urban parks, and wonderful displays of all types of arts.
Some of Boise’s must see attractions include the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center, Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, Idaho Black History Museum and the World Center for Birds of Prey. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is the home of the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra, which is continuing to grow in popularity.
Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Alive After Five, and Gene Harris Jazz Festival are just a few of Boise’s annual events. First Thursday is a monthly event held in the streets of downtown. The first Thursday of every month, street entertainment, a gallery stroll of local art, and special promotions are available.
